Mark started dancing before he got the 'singing' bug... what a formidable tap dancer he was too, but he gave it up because 'he kept falling in the sink'.....ha ha.
He started singing in school choirs etc.... then his brother gave him his first guitar...then he joined a few local tribute bands-
Queen-Elvis-The Beatles, glam rock etc ...even a crappy 'boy-band'-less said
about that the better. He enjoyed his time playing in a local heavy metal band 'WOLF'...'We ended up with a recording contract', (with in your face records ) but he had to leave because of work and family commitments, and the band wanted to tour....(happy-days) 'it says here'............."I'm totally commited to Chicken Run now" Mark said......."can
I have my money now guys" ??
Guy's...Guy's ??? you complete set of B....... !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Toby has been playing electric guitar for 24 years. He now holds the record for the longest guitar playing session ever. He kindly agreed to stop and join Chicken Run and was quite glad of the rest. He plays a range of styles and has performed in a wide range of situations from fronting a blues band to playing in an orchestra pit, appearing in the 'Waynes World' promotional tour to playing in a 24pc Big Band. More recently he could be seen jumping up and down in a ska band.
As well as gigging, Toby teaches guitar privately.
Pep is not only the tallest member of the band but has perhaps played with the most famous people in the most distant of venues. In venues such as Knebworth, Oslo Plaza, Dubai Metropolitan and the Monaco Music Awards he has played with/supported Bryan Adams, Squeeze, Simon le Bon, Tony Hadley....the list goes on.
Pep has been in a number of bands through his career, most of them starting with 'The' such as as The Backbeat Beatles, The Chris Braide Band and The Pleasure Babies. He also set Rick Astley on his way with F.B.I.
Pep can often be found in his natural environment the studio producing tracks for well known artists and being nice to those who clearly are going nowhere!
Well, it all started with a cardboard box for Steve, then progressed to a biscuit tin and finally a drum kit. Steve also owns a variety of other percussion instruments and an acoustic guitar, but to be honest, his guitar playing is not so good and he really needs a lot more practise. Steve has been part of several original writing and cover bands including The KGB, Relative Strangers, Stevie Wonders, Deolali and Blue Suits Big Boots. All of whom have gigged extensively including supporting named artists such as Nine Below Zero, Buddy Guy, Dr Feelgood and Claire Sweeney and playing as far afield as Germany, Belgium and France in addition to all corners of the UK. T.V. appearances include C4s Big Breakfast with Stevie Wonders and a short piece on BBC Northwest with Deolali. Also played live at the launch of a McCartney album at Liverpool’s famous Cavern Club and on Radio Merseyside. In 1990 Steve appeared in a film for S4C where he played the part of a police officer and has busked at The Albert Dock in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Steve has the greatest respect for every genre of music. His influences range from Glenn Miller to Kings of Leon, Frank Sinatra to Alice Cooper, Motown to RnB with Punk sandwiched in between. Sorry Country fans but you are the exception!
